Take a look at the list below and click the links to download them for free. What Are Minecraft Resource Packs?
A Minecraft resource pack is a downloadable pack that includes new textures for the game. It can also include new models, new sounds, a different splash screen, and a change to the in-game font.
Most resource packs are used to change the aesthetic appearance of the game. Some packs make Minecraft look more realistic by adding higher resolution textures, whilst others add themes to the game.
To start off this list, we have a medieval themed resource pack called Conquest 32x32. This resource pack has slightly higher resolution textures than the vanilla graphics, but it won't impact performance that much.
Medieval themed resource packs fit in well with Minecraft because the items and elements in vanilla Minecraft would fit easily into a medieval world.
All of the textures in this resource pack have had a rework, but most of the attention has been focused on the building materials. Expect more realistic stone, wood, and metal. If you want to make a medieval castle or village, this resource pack will be perfect.
If you are a fan of creating modern buildings and architecture in Minecraft, you'll love the Modern HD resource pack.
Not only does this resource pack have a selection of new minimalistic textures for the building materials in Minecraft, but all of the textures in this resource pack are far higher quality than the vanilla textures.
You can pretty much use any block in Minecraft to create a beautiful modern home when using this resource pack. All of the in-game paintings have also been reworked to showcase modern pieces of art.
This high resolution Minecraft resource pack takes a different approach by cartoonizing all of the textures in the game. The end result is incredible. The game world is far more colorful, and the over the top art design never gets boring.
A lot of care and attention has gone into every last texture, from building blocks to mobs. The Sphax PureBDCraft resource pack always gets updates regularly, so if you're looking for a resource pack you can stick with forever, this is a good one to choose.
oCd Texture Pack is a Minecraft resource pack that has been inspired by the pixel art seen in many modern 2D games. The graphics are still "pixelated" but each block is clearly defined and the textures don't have any jagged harsh edges like the vanilla textures do.
Have you ever noticed how all of the textures in Minecraft look flat? The Default 3D resource pack changes this by adding 3D versions of all of the basic textures.
With Default 3D, the whole world is filled with more character. The steps on ladders actually stick out from the surface they are placed on. Brick walls have clearly defined bricks and cobblestone blocks look as rough and rugged as you'd expect cobblestone to be in real life.
The great thing about Default 3D is that it still uses the basic vanilla Minecraft textures as a basis, so this resource pack can be a good way to enhance your visuals without changing too much.
As the name suggests, this resource pack features rustic fantasy style textures. The resolution of these textures are far better than the vanilla graphics and they mostly expand on the original graphics instead of going too far afield with changes.
The biggest differences are noticeable with the basic materials, such as wood, dirt, and cobblestone. These textures are far more refined, but they still share similarities with the basic Minecraft vanilla textures.
If you're looking for a good fantasy Minecraft resource pack, Ovo's Rustic is certainly a good option.
LIIE's resource pack brings some of the biggest changes to Minecraft. Out of all of the resource packs available, it's safe to say that LIIE is the most unique.
LIIE's resource pack uses colors and an art style that may remind you slightly of animal crossing. The mobs and animals have caricatured faces.
All objects are cast with soft, cartoony shadows, and the overall color palette is far brighter than the standard Minecraft graphics.
If you want a resource pack that makes Minecraft look fun and friendly, LIIE's pack is for you.
Jolicraft turns Minecraft into a survival game filled with mystery and new life. Jolicraft throws the vanilla Minecraft textures away and replaces them with textures jam packed with detail.
Jolicraft draws inspiration from fantasy games and other medieval themed resource packs. If you liked Ovo's Rustic but want something with even more detail, try this one.
The final Minecraft resource pack in our list is one dedicated to those with high end gaming PCs. Most Minecraft texture packs have a resolution of 16x16 or 32x32 - this one, however, has a resolution of 1024x1024.
This texture pack is dozens of times higher quality than others on this list and it makes the game look fancier than ever.
Everything in Minecraft looks more colorful and brighter with the SCC Photo Realistic Universe resource pack. There are some lighting effects that have been added to make the water and sky look more realistic, as well.
Just keep in mind that you'll need a very good PC to use this resource pack.
Here's a quick recap of each resource pack:
