1. Fortnite

Fortnite is dominating the internet and the gaming industry right now and is constantly on the no. 1 spot of most viewed and streamed games on Twitch, passing CS:GO, Overwatch, League of Legends, and its main rival, PUBG.

Fortnite's created streaming legends out of streamers like Ninja, who constantly draws tens of thousands of viewers to his daily streams and makes more than a decent living from Twitch viewership and his subscribers.

For the few people out there that still haven't heard of Fortnite or haven't played it yet, here's what the game is actually about.

As I mentioned above, Fortnite is basically the no. 1 rival of the wildly popular survival game - PUBG. Fortnite is a survival game developed by Epic Games with a free-to-play 100-player PvP mode, also known as Battle Royale, that's currently begun its fourth season.

The game is set on Earth, after a storm has destroyed more than 98% of the population, and the remainder of the population has to fight for survival, build fortifications to defend themselves from others, and stay clear of the storm.

You can play solo or with up to 3 more players. You can play the free-to-play mode - Battle Royale or buy the paid version which will give you access to both Battle Royal, and the chance to play their other "player-versus-environment" mode, also known as Save the World, which is a lot different from the 100-player PvP mode.

2. League of Legends

LoL is a MOBA or multiplayer online battle arena game, developed by Riot Games, and available for Microsoft Windows and macOS.

In LoL, players take on the role of a "summoner" that controls a character and battles against other players in PvP mode, or versus the game's artificial intelligence in PvE mode.

LoL has been very well received and loved by the gaming community since its release in 2009, and it's been very popular on YouTube and Twitch as well.

There are three game modes available, where players compete in 40-60 minute matches, and each team does their best to cooperate and lead their team to victory, which is typically done by destroying the other team's core building - the Nexus.

3. Playerunknown's Battlegrounds

PUBG is the third most watched game on Twitch right now, so let's see what makes this game so attractive and popular in the gaming community.
