Square Enix took things fast and efficient with the company's press conference lasting around 30 minutes. It wasn't even a live conference, it was a pre-recorded video, similar to what Nintendo is doing with their Direct videos. Anyway, let us begin.

The Square Enix video began with a long gameplay video for Shadow of the Tomb Raider where we saw Lara surviving a plane crash and later hiding in shadows while picking bad guys, one by one. The game looks like an upgraded version of the last one, with slightly better graphics and a couple of new gameplay elements. The new, mud camouflage gameplay element is pretty cool and it seems the game will have more tombs than ever, which is pretty nice. Overall, it looks promising and we can't wait to play it once it comes out on September 14, 2018.

We also get a better look at Just Cause 4, which features even bigger open world map, truly impressive visuals, and ultra-explosive gameplay. The game's visuals look like Just Cause is a next-gen game and the most exciting thing is the fact that Rico will fight with a tornado! Yup, that's right. This time, the game features diverse environments including jungle, deserts, plains, mountains, snow, and each of those regions feature lots of different dynamic weather effects. The game comes out December 4, 2018.

Other than that we saw a teaser for a new game developed by Platinum Games (Bayonetta, Vanquish, Nier: Automata) called Babylon's Fall, and a cool trailer showing a fighting game called The Quiet Man. And then we saw lots of Kingdom Hearts 3 showing that the game will feature a huge list of characters from Disney movies. It looks okay graphically but gameplay-wise the game is extremely varied and looks like tons of fun. Also, Dragon Quest XI coming to the western market this year. And yup, that was all.

Star of The Show: Shadow of the Tomb Raider. The game looks solid and we hope that enemy AI will be better than what we saw in the trailer.

Biggest Surprise: The Quiet Man. The game looks original and its deaf main protagonist will probably have some unique skills and tools available to him while beating bad guys in silence.

Biggest Letdown: Not a word about FF VII remake, which just further confirms that years will pass before we finally get the game.
